We had a wonderful stay! We got snowed in and Taylar and Steven were beyond helpful! We couldnt get out on our original check out date and not only did they give us a discount for a night, they gave us a free night due to the weather and brought us groceries! They also have an amazing staff, the housekeeper Amy makes sure the house is beautiful every time, without fail. And Amanda saved the day helping get our car out of the snow! This small, boutique style company is a 12/10! They are Above the Rest for a reason! They gave us tips on how to drive when we did finally get out and were very attentive from the moment we booked until we left. I will rave about them any chance I get and we cant wait to come back again!

The Bear Lodge was an awesome cabin for our family vacation. The kids said it was their favorite cabin so far and they didnt want to leave. Everything was clean, the house was setup to make you feel right at home. Above The Rest provided good driving instructions and there wasnt a list of chores to do at checkout. The views are beautiful, the hot tub was great. The place was warm and cozy.

My family and I had a wonderful experience. Memories we'll all share for many years. The additional driving directions were very helpful. The cabin was extremely neat and clean. The kitchen is the best stocked I've seen. Plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, etc. All the beds and furniture were clean, comfortable and cozy. We had fun with billiards table. The hot tub was easy to operate, neat and clean. Scenery from the hot tub is my favorite part. Was great that the hot tub is inside the screen enclosure.
And, I'll leave the best for last : you can only truly appreciate the views first hand.

We hope to rent Big Bear again. The kitchen was the best equipped of any cabin or condo that I have ever stayed, except for plates. 6 plates was really not enough for 6 people to eat two meals on the same day. Everything else was great - extra blankets, plenty of towels, even Kleenex!

We have rented Big Bear cabin 5 times through out the years and it is like coming home. We were surprised to see the upgrades in appliances and cabin exterior, also the Starlink system was a huge boost for productivity and entertainment. A blessing to see that ownership cares about our experience to make it better still. While we would would to have a bee /wasp free environment on the deck, we have been coming up there long enough to know that a view from a mountain in the woods is just that.

We would come again. The cabin was well stocked and clean. The layout provided privacy but several areas to hang out together. The view was beautiful. The hot tub was located on a screened porchallowing protection from the elements and an outdoor feel. Gas fireplaces and a gas grill. We would rent again. Excellent, very specific directions and instructions to share with all parties.

I had an unexpected hospital visit the week before our trip. I was worried because stairs were impossible for me. My husband and I went anyway and were overjoyed to find it wasnt a problem with Big Bear. I was able to get inside with one step, and everything else that I needed was on the ground floor - a king bedroom suite, kitchen, hot tub, living room with decent size TV and deck with grill. Such beautiful scenery and decor was so cute. Loved it! It was a perfect place to recover and spend some time with my honey. Laundry was downstairs, but hubby took care of that. We didnt leave the cabin much, but there were plenty of kitchen tools and appliances to make some great meals as we had done a Walmart pickup in Blue Ridge. Road was a little scary, but there wasnt a lot of traffic. Overall a great experience!

The cabin was very clean and well appointed! We didnt need a thing! It is short on plastic containers for leftovers, but, that is the case every time we rent somewhere. So, I know to bring my own. The view is beautiful as well. Weve stayed here once before several years ago and knew what to expect! Even though we never left the cabin this trip.it was a wonderful and much needed get away!!!!!

Working with the ATR team was an absolute pleasure. John and his colleagues consistently displayed a high level of efficiency and responsiveness. They dealt with tasks promptly, ensuring smooth and successful outcomes. Overall, they communicated well and prepared us for our upcoming stay.

I also want to express my dissatisfaction regarding the condition of the front area of the cabin we rented, specifically, the parking area. The surface condition of the area was notably unacceptable, posing a potential risk to our safety, especially considering the weather forecast which predicted continuous rain/snowfall for several days during our stay.
We experienced difficulties in moving out due to these circumstances. Though we were fortunate enough to be able to depart without any significant mishaps, I firmly believe that the condition of the parking area was hazardous even with four-wheel drive vehicles.
This experience has certainly put a damper on what was meant to be a relaxing vacation, and I believe that improvements should be made to prevent any such potential hazards for future renters. I trust that this issue will be dealt with seriously to avoid a repeat of our experience.
We love ATR cabins and hope to continue our annual visits, however, we hope that these issues will be addressed for future visits.

We loved every minute of Big Bear cabin. We live 14 hours from Blue Ridge but are already talking about when we can come back! And we will definitely be booking the same cabin. It was beautiful, perfect for our family of 4. Cabin has everything you need to get started on a perfect mountain vacation. I cannot get over how CLEAN it was! Im OCD about cleanliness and it was exceptionally clean.

A very nice comfy place with a beautiful view and nice patios outside. Its an amazing above experience getaway. Me and friends used the pool table on the upper flower, watched a movie in the main and played some games in the lower floor. Perfect place, Would recommend for a group

The location of the property was great and exactly what I was looking for in a mountain getaway. The rental process and customer service was great! Above the rest went above and beyond in making sure we had accurate directions on getting to the cabin. I will definitely stay here again in the future.
