Enjoy many excellent restaurants offering everything from country buffets to steaks and freshly-caught trout. Several large grocery stores will meet all your cabin cooking needs. Hunt for treasures in the many antique and craft stores peppering downtown Blue Ridge. Hear the Church bells ring at noon in this quaint town where worship services welcome visiting guests.
Nearby Lake Blue Ridge, a pristine lake with over 100 miles of shoreline, has a swimming beach, picnic area and hiking trails. Fish for blue gill, crappie, pike, small mouth bass, striped bass and more. At the marina, you can rent a pontoon boat, fishing boat or jet ski. Lake Nottely is also close by. It has excellent fishing, a swimming beach and canoe & boat rentals at the full service Nottely Marina, 706-745-3638. Then there is the natural beauty of the mountains. Bike or hike the Appalachian Trail, Benton MacKay Trail, Rich Mountain, the Cohutta Wilderness and the other trails in the area, some with alluring, beautiful waterfalls.
