Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide outstanding Blue Ridge, GA vacation experiences in clean, comfortable cabins with an emphasis on luxury details and unparalleled customer service. Our clients understand the difference between ‘cheap’ and value, and prefer the latter. At Above the Rest, the value is in the quality and care, regardless of the size of the home rented or the length of the stay.

Above the Rest Cabins has served Blue Ridge/Fannin County since 1996, making it one of the oldest, most well-established companies in the industry.

David & Jeanette Jenkins took the helm in 2005, leaving successful careers in academia to realize their dream of living and working in the North Georgia Mountains. (Both were tenured professors of chemistry at Georgia Southern University.) Having vacationed with Above the Rest since 1998, they had first-hand knowledge of the area and its offerings, and knew they could use their professionalism, spirit and drive to take the company to new heights in the property management arena.

Providing the cleanest homes with the best customer service has been, and will ever be, their focus. Whether renting a cozy cottage for two or a 4,600 square foot home for a family reunion, the commitment to luxury touches and pampering details does not change.

As most of their homes are in the My Mountain community in Morganton, GA (just 12 minutes from Blue Ridge), they are uniquely situated to accommodate large groups (weddings, reunions, church retreats) in cabins that are within easy access to one another.

Living on-site full-time, and being personally involved in the preparation of each home for their guests’ arrival, ensures a level of commitment and caring not found elsewhere in this market. Above the Rest Cabins knows that no one takes the job more seriously, or is more committed to excellence, than the owners, and it is not possible to attend to guests’ needs from a remote location.

Above the Rest Cabins: not the biggest, simply the best. Experience the Difference…Experience the Mountains.
